For something a little more relaxed and budget-conscious, try a cruise of the Sydney Harbour with family and friends.The Rhythmboat comfortably caters for up to 140 guests. For $99 per head, Rhythmboat provides your choice of a seafood harbour banquet or three-course seated dinner, canapés, 4 ½ hours on board (with 4 hours cruising), fully licenced open bar, professional DJ or two-piece band, tea and coffee, with breathtaking harbour views.
3. Araluen
For the bride wanting a traditional setting at an average price, this venue in Epping offers a purpose-built chapel and a gracious century old home with established gardens. They guarantee privacy, only holding one function at a time. Araluen’s packages begin from $106 per person, including the chapel ceremony, but is only for five hours in total. Araluen’s packages include floral arrangements for the chapel, function areas and tables,,a DJ and an unlimited bar for the function’s duration. Cocktail packages begin from $66 per person.

This Sydney hotel, located within the new World Square, is for the modern and classy couple. In the heart of Sydney, Avillion is an elegant and stylish location. For $99 per head, their wedding package includes canapés, beverages, three course menu, sparkling toasting wine, centrepieces, printed menus on each table, dance floor, room hire, audio equipment, sample menu tasting for two in Avery’s Restaurant and first night accommodation for the bridal couple including breakfast and late checkout.
5. Swiss-Grand Resort & Spa
For beach-lovers who still want style, the 4 ½ star Swiss-Grand Resort overlooks Australia’s most famous stretch of sand and surf – Bondi Beach. The Swiss-Grand can cater for up to 240 guests, with four different rooms to choose from. 6. The Pontoon
“The Pontoon is your very own Sydney Harbour Cruising Glass Ballroom.” The Pontoon is a vessel with 3 metre high surround glass windows, giving you an unobstructed view of the city skyline and key sights in the Harbour such as the Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and the Botanical Gardens.. A reception on the Pontoon is sure to be remembered; but is not for the budget-conscious. 7. Banjo Paterson Cottage Restaurant
For true history and character for the country-loving couple, you won’t go past Banjo Paterson’s in Gladesville. Housed in a sandstone building dating back to the 1830s, “Rockend” was where Paterson lived as a young man with his grandmother. It is situated on six acres of parkland and surrounded by landscaped gardens, making it ideal for garden ceremonies. The restaurant boasts old-world charm, with open fireplaces and wide views from the two spacious, fully enclosed verandahs. The Standard Package includes canapés, three-course meal, coffee, petit fours and a five hour beverage package for $85 per person. Deluxe and Premier Packages are also available at extra costs. 8.SydneyTower Sky Lounge
Be dazzled and breath-taken by this reception venue located at the top of Sydney Tower. Set more than 300 metres above the city, the Sydney Tower’s 360 Bar & Dining Room is the highest restaurant in the southern hemisphere. On the higher end of the budget scale, it boasts a unique revolving floor, so guests can enjoy their evening with 360 degree panoramic views of Sydney and beyond. Located in the heart of the city, the Sydney Tower is easily accessible, with recommended car parking close by, with special rates offered to patrons.
9. Le Montage

The Vibe Hotel is for the modern day couple who want simplicity and elegance. Giving magnificent views of the Rushcutters Bay Part, Vibe Hotel is a practical wedding venue any time of the year. The three wedding packages available at Vibe; range from $89.50 to $110 per person with a minimum of 80 guests and maximum of 160.
