VANESSA SANCHEZ-LEVY
Hi Everyone! I was born in Sydney on January 8th 1978.
I am half Spanish which is why I have an unusual surname, in fact my Dad was born in Spain in a small town called Medina. He came to Australia as an immigrant when he was 8 and did not speak a word of English….you would never know now because he is as Aussie as you can get!!!! My beautiful Mum is a true blue OZZIE, which is where I get my blonde hair and green eyes from.
I finished school in 1995 and then completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Sydney University in 1999, where I majored in Marketing. Pretty boring really, but I am very glad that I did it!!
I love all aspects of health and fitness and have always been into any type of sport, especially swimming and aquatic sports…I am such a water baby!!
In 1999 I entered and won a competition called “The Face of Sydney”, where I was chosen from about 200 contestants to represent NSW as the face of Sydney for the upcoming Olympic Games. I was featured on various Tourism NSW brochures and adverts and also traveled to China as the Australian representative in the sister cities pageant. I met many wonderful people from all over the world and had a fantastic time getting to know the Chinese culture.
I worked for the next couple of years as a model on various fashion assignments.
In 2002, I began work on Aerobics Oz Style, as a fitness presenter. I also featured in two of the Aerobics Oz Style fitness DVD’s – “On the Ball” and “Yoga Moves”.
I got married on Saturday November 1st, 2004 to my GORGEOUS husband Marcus. I only wish I had such an amazing tool as “The Wedding Show” to help with the planning of my wedding back then. It sure would have made my life easier. I love all aspects of weddings….it is such a fun time in your life. In fact I really wish I could have my wedding day all over again!!
My wedding was held in a clear roofed marquee at The Bennelong Lawn in Sydney’s Botanical Gardens. We held our ceremony in front of the Marquee on the lawn and made up our own vows…which was really nice because neither of us is religious, and we got to add a bit of humour to the event. I vowed to watch cricket test matches without complaint and he vowed to give me occasional foot massages!!
My dress was DIVINE! It was designed by the AMAZING Alex Perry, and was exactly what I wanted. He is truly a genius dress designer, he knows exactly what will look good on your figure and designs a dress to perfectly suit your shape. I think he creates the SEXIEST dresses and it really helps to make you feel special on that all important day!
The proudest moment in my life so far is definitely the birth of my gorgeous son Oscar on 28th May 2006. He is just the cutest little monster in the world, and I don’t have any idea what I did with my life prior to his birth. He is my entire world!!!
